What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science that is based on the understanding of behavior and how to improve it. For children and adults with autism and related disorders, ABA uses methods of learning and training to decrease problem behavior and replace it with appropriate and desirable behavior. Our focus is on skills that are necessary for success in life.

Our Programs

The ABA program provides daily one-to-one intensive instruction using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior. Every ABA program at InnoBA is significantly individualized for each child’s needs.

Sensory Activities

InnoBA center-based program will encourage sensory activities, in addition to being fun and interesting for young children, encourage children to explore and investigate. We will provide opportunities to develop sensory activities for children to refine their thresholds for different sensory information, helping their brain to create stronger connections to sensory information and learn which are useful and which can be filtered out.

Social Skills Group

InnoBA will have Social skill group at the regular basis to help with: following directions within a group, remaining on the task during the group activity, playing games with a group corporately, conversations with others, play skills with others, understanding social manners, making friends, eye contact, getting along with others, solving problems/social conflict, managing emotions, understanding other’s feeling, responding to others correctly, a helper/leader for the group

Art Activities

InnoBA provides many art activities along with ABA programs because the activities will benefit for children with autism because it promotes emotional and mental growth as well as independence and collaboration skills. As an outlet for self-expression, imagination, and creativity, art can contribute deeply to improving a child’s fine motor skills, visual and spatial discrepancies, and coping skills. For children with autism, art activities can be particularly effective, especially because many are strong visual learners and process information differently from their typically developing peers.

Self-management/ Organization Skills

Self-management/Organization Skills InnoBA develops the ABA programs for the children with Autism to become more independent, self-reliant, and responsible for their own behavior and less dependent on external controls and continuous supervision. This program will help them to have an opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of their own behavior management programs, rather than traditional “top down” external contingency approaches. In addition, this program will be developed to acquire a “pivotal” skill that facilitates generalization of adaptive behavior, supports autonomy, and has the potential to produce long lasting behavioral improvements across a range of contexts.

Parent Training program

InnoBA provides weekly or biweekly meeting with the family to help promote a positive and nurturing environment for the children with Autism. The professional will also train the family how to implement the ABA strategies and/or Functional Behavioral Plan when they experience difficulties in managing their child’s any disruptive/ non-compliance/temper tantrums/ maladaptive/ aggressive/ self-injury behaviors. This program is designed to encourage family to participate and be involved in the child’s program.

Self Help Skills

InnoBA will help each child to meet his/her own needs without assistance at the areas of eating, dressing, cleaning, toileting, and personal hygiene which are essential for independence. The BCBA will develop the Task Analysis for a target skill so that the child can earn the skill step by step, and then expand it to other setting for generalizations after he/she learned.
